I’ve been playing Guild Wars again, now that Sehanine is 99/70 and RO has temporarily lost its appeal on me. While sieging with Rose Croix has been fun and exciting, the routine hardly ever varies. Same with sieging with AE. I’ve been playing RO for what, 2 years now? And I’ve been sieging since WoE started. Defense, offense, emergency call style, old school style - been there, done that. Especially after all the high points of sieging with RC. Since Nix hasn’t been using the account, I figured why not play again, and this time, complete the story.

Nymeria Stardust is a PvE character, a Mesmer/Elementalist. She just turned level 18. 2 more and I ascend. I’ll start a Warrior/Monk after that, or maybe a Monk/Warrior. I’ve missed playing a healer. I usually do the easier quests with henchies, but I’ve done PUGs too. There are groups that suck, and groups that work well. I’ve had my share of Leeroys. The best group I’ve had so far was the group I did Villainy of Galrath work. Excellent teamwork, and our healer was decent. No Leeroys in that group.

Nymie in pictures: 1. A little seabathing 2. Charlie’s Angels 3. By the beacon (ala LotR) 4. Prized hog roasting on an open fire 5. Dancing with the Yak at Yak’s Bend 6. Levitating at Ashford Abbey 7. Darna! 8. “You want a piece of me?” 9. Snowy day with Gwen

Anger Part 2

My hate relationship with the school registrar slash secretary started when I asked for my True Copy of Grade (TCG). Back in UP, to get a TCG, you go either to your college secretary’s office or to the OUR, fill out a request form, pay the fee, and then waited for the finish product. The waiting time varied from a few minutes to a few days, depending on the number of subjects you want on your TCG and how far back you took them (a sem ago, a year ago, etc).

At iAcademy, you have to request the TCG for at least a week before you need it and constantly nag the registrar slash secretary lest she forget about your request because of her “busy” schedule (which mostly involved being on the phone with who-knows-who). While we were about 150-student strong, I made a request for a TCG. I needed the TCG on a Friday so I made the request and paid the Php200 for it on the Monday a week before I needed it (henceforth referred to as Week 1). Excluding that Monday and the Friday it was due, she had 8 working days to process my request. I told her I needed the TCG Friday of Week 1. When I asked for it, she told me that the Dean was away that day and she couldn’t have it signed and sealed.

Fine. I had 4 more working days before I needed to submit it anyway. The following week, I reminded her everyday about it. She told me that it was ready, but that the Dean was busy, that she couldn’t get a hold of him in order to have it signed. Friday came, and by this time, I was in a furious panic. If I didn’t make the deadline, I would be set back by 1 year. It’s not as if I didn’t give myself enough time to prepare. I had all my documents ready except for the fucking TCG which the incompetent Miss C couldn’t produce. And guess what? The freaking bitch lied to me about it being prepared already. It wasn’t. She only started typing it that morning! And then there was the frantic rush to look for the Dean (on his way to a meeting) and have it signed. I barely made it to the 5pm deadline, and the staff I handed it to even doubted it authenticity. Why? There were no subject descriptions, not even the complete names of the subjects, just their codes. The subjects were listed randomly, with no indication of what term or year I took them. And when I had a chance to look them over, I saw 2 subjects with wrong grades. If I knew that this was what Php200 was going to give me, I would have typed my own TCG (using my classcards as reference) and then brought it over to the Reg’s office to have it printed on the official school paper.

Miss C is the tackiest person in the school. She’s a meddlesome whiner who complains that she has to organize and collate the evaluation forms for teachers when in that’s part of her job. It’s like a person who accepts a janitorial job and then complains that he’s made to clean the bathrooms. She hates it when students get close to the other faculty and staff. She wants to project this image that she is the one keeping the school running, that without her, we would all be lost. She is condescending, conniving, and malicious.

Her latest stunt involved calling a teacher a liar to her face. Circumstances made the teacher change a class schedule from 1-2:30pm to 7:30-9pm. As the teacher was unable to meet the class last week, the change in schedule was passed on via word of mouth. Apparently, according to the goddess of telebabad, a parent called the school to complain about the shift in schedule. More specifically, the parent allegedly complained that the students weren’t properly informed about the change. “Properly informed” meaning the teacher meeting with all of the students the week prior and telling them them of the change.

It’s not like the parent’s son or daughter didn’t know of the change, right? I mean, it would make sense if the student missed a class because he/she didn’t know of the change, and then complained to his parent(s) about an absence that wasn’t entirely his fault. The fact is, not one class for the section (for the subject) was held last week. Therefore, the student didn’t incur an absence. So why complain? Is it the lateness of the class? If so, why wasn’t this stressed? Instead, what was stressed was the process of information sharing. And besides, the school has openly advertised its industry-professionals-as-teachers feature. How can you expect an industry professional to show up between 8-5pm (or even 6pm) when those are their working hours for the industry? Surely, if you are a concerned parent, you’d read the school information and come across this. And if you have anything between those ears, you’d know that industry professionals work! So don’t fucking complain about the late hours when you signed yourself up without reading the fucking contract, moron parent!

My guess is that some random student went out on a late night gimmick and then gave the new class schedule as an excuse. Too bad for the subject’s teacher that the parent(s) made contact with the school’s offical cretin. Let me repeat a fact for the stupid student, the over acting parent, and the school’s official cretin, aka Cecil. NO ENTREPS CLASSES FOR S41/DAwhatever section WERE HELD DURING TTH LAST WEEK AND LAST TUESDAY! So even if you only got the news this week, you still wouldn’t have missed any class at all.

Next time, look for Sir RT instead. He’ll handle you in a calm and intelligent manner, not make your case some school tabloid fodder. It even reached the Dean, ffs! There are other issues more important than this that haven’t been resolved, and this small thing gets blown out of proportion thanks to the malice of a person who wished to discredit a faculty member because that faculty member doesn’t kowtow (sp?) to her!

She is one of the main factors dragging the school down. If she is given more power, she will continue to alienate the (female) part timers. Then the problem with getting teachers will happen again. And teachers gossip. It’s a small world. Once word gets out that there’s a bitch among the staff, who’ll want to work there? She had the gall to call the teacher a liar when SHE’S _THE_ LIAR!

She can be replaced, seriously. Just put out an ad. We’ll even help you design it.
