Kikoy Kit Meme

I came across Berniej’s Kikoy Kit post while browsing oks.ph (thanks Sacha, for this discovery). The kikoy kit, as coined by Berniej, is a geek’s version of the kikay kit. A kikay kit is usually a small pouch that contains grooming paraphernalia. Female kikay kits usually contain an assortment of make up, blotting paper, a small comb or brush, tissue, and cologne. Kikoy kits are gadgets that your average geek lugs everyday for some purpose - personal information management, data storage, extension of some other gadget’s functionality, or simply for fun.
Here’s my own kikoy kit:
Pouch: a small tan makeup bag that came with a Nine West office tote.
Contents:
- Palm Tungsten T + memory card - for playing Text Twist and reading PDF-format e-books while waiting for a meeting or a class to begin
- Hipster PDA + Pilot G-Tec pen - for notetaking; color-coded according to type of task (pseudo-tagging)
- iPod Shuffle - for choice life soundtrack and data storage
- USB drive - more data storage (can you see how I’m keeping my old USB together? hehehe)
- mobile phone
- Not in photo: a PLDT myPad subscription for WiFi access at hotspots around the metro (or a WiFi prepaid card)
I’m tagging all the other geeks out there to post their own kikoy kits.

Nix and I met up with the old crowd of JP/Draggy, Eric, Mae and Rey last night for dinner. We were celebrating Mae’s last day at work. She’s moving to the same office as JP, where, hopefully, all her talent will be compensated accordingly. We initially met up with JP and Eric at the Starbucks in G4. Predictably, tech talk prevailed, with occasional interruptions from Eric as he plagued JP with his skills and qualifications. Eric wanted JP to hire him too, lol. JP gave me great news about his company hiring software testers/QA staff in the near future. I’m hoping that the near future translates to sometime in April, when I can apply for the position. I still have a lot to learn in terms of standards and test automation (scripting), but I’m making sure that I’ll be ready for the job come April.
We met up with Mae and Rey and hung out at the condo, where JP regaled us with his love and lust life stories. Of course, the talk shifted to WoW, and once again, I am excited at the prospect of playing by next week. There were lots of laughs at the funny stories about Eric’s Leeroy Jenkins-like antics. I originally thought of playing an Undead Priest (Shadow Priest), but last night’s talk made me consider making an Undead Warrior as well. Let’s face it, I play better as a knight than as a support priestess anyway. I’m just not sure if I’ll eventually get bored by just tanking the party. I’ll read up on Warriors more and decide over the weekend.
It was really great seeing the gang again, although Howie and JR were sorely missed. Apparently, they meet every Tuesday night because that’s maintenance night for WoW, lol. Maybe I’ll catch up with them after Tuesday night sieges next time. ![]()

A place where people work in custom designed cottages, and where Steve Jobs proposed a building with one bathroom, to drive foot traffic to a central area all day long.
The piƱata of Nemo (or is it his dad, Marlin?) looks a bit disturbing. Those little cottages sound so cool. I wish he took more pictures of them. I want that Edna Mode sculpture!
