Post Sept. 27 Siege
Author: Tala
I was a bit peeved at some of my partymates during Tuesday’s siege. There were 2 hunters who kept on saying Magni on party chat without even bothering to look at the buff icons on their screen. Hello, Magni has a duration, at naka Magni pa kayo! High-blood enducing, the same level as the hunters who insist on Double Strafing instead of retrapping when we got overwhelmed with Cooltrix people at the courtyard. There was this female huntress who kept on asking for buffs. Masyadong asa sa buffs! There were only 2 priests - me and Haellan. The wizards didn’t have a priest in their party at the start so I had to move to that party.
Medyo high blood talaga, hehehe. I don’t think I’ll be able to siege tomorrow. On Tuesday, I’m going to use Butter instead. Acid-Demo happiness! ![]()

I’m not getting the Nano till Christmas. *sob* I got the money doesn’t grow on trees, and you’ll learn once you’re making and spending your own speech instead. The disadvantages of being a student again. Oh well, I can wait.
I sieged with Rose Croix again today, my second siege with them using Nymie. After being a knight almost all of my RO siege life, it was fun and exciting playing a Full Support Priestess. I buffed all of my partymates and cast Suffragium on the guild wizzies. I got to play abit of offense by casting Decrease Agi on enemy knights and Lex Divina on enemy wizards and monks. I’m slowly mastering the art of battlemode. I discovered a few Rose Croix secrets too, but since I’m now sworn to the guild’s Code of Silence, those secrets are safe with me. I didn’t totally get disillusioned. But then I guess, being a warper really _is_ a boring job. Why anyone would prefer to be a warper than to participate in defense or offense is beyond me. I still maintain that they are one of the most disciplined guilds I’ve seen. (Funny how I use “they” when I am in fact one of them now.) We really move as one during siege. Ang galing. We have 3 Luina agits. Yes, 3! And we hope to keep all of them.
I still miss AE. I think, at heart, I belong to AE.

Borgs came in too early for his supposedly surprise birthday party. The McDonald’s people were still finishing their set up when he walked in. Boo! It was fun being with my guildmates irl again. I joined one kiddie game wherein we had to make a pyramid using plastic cups, make the McDo sign, shake our asses, and undo the pyramid. Our team had Ian, Mami Jen, Scott, and I forget who (sorry!) and we won! Borgs tried to sabotage me when it was our turn by nudging my cups!
I met Nelson (Death/Life/Dealseeker), Scott (Katsuhiro) and Mao (Redden, resident emp room trapper). Too bad Earl, my Dork Hero plushie, wasn’t able to make it. I also met Sam (SebastianRodriguez), and Johnbich, who had a really nifty mobile phone slash camera.
The party was graced by the Ube King himself, Grimace. He wouldn’t fit through the small door, so they had to open both doors for him to get through. Borgs said he wanted to trip the huge thing and roll him all over the floor. LMAO. I’ll post pictures once the dewds with the cameras upload them at the forums.
We went to G4 afterwards, supposedly to watch a movie, but Tata had a 12MN “curfew” so we sat around Taters eating popcorn and talking about David Blane and Eight-o’-clock juice instead. Go figure. *ting!*
I managed to catch up with Nix, Rick, Froggy and George at the Starbucks in Greenbelt 2, and we talked about Reiner Knizia’s (the genius behind Modern Art) game, Traumfabrik. In this game the players bid for genuine 1950’s directors, actors, cameras, effects, music, guest stars and agents in order to make a movie. The cool thing about it is that there are PSD templates for creating modern actors, actresses and directors. The actors and actresses are rated according to star power, the highest being 4 stars. Observation: there are more actors that rate 4 stars than there are actresses. In the game, Keanu Reeves is a 1-star actor. Lol. The discussion turned into how annoying Rob Schneider can be, and imagining Mariah Carey and Keanu Reeves in Gone With the Wind or Casablanca.
Rick is going to get the game, and I’m really excited about it. I’m looking forward to boardgame nights at Froggy’s again.

Amazing still it seems
I’ll be 26
I won’t always love what I’ll never have
I won’t always live in my regrets
Thank you to all who IMed, SMSed, posted on the forums, and greeted me in person!
Today was a day of some drama, truckloads of work, a couple of bloopers, and most importantly, a whole lot of laughter. Kind of how my life has been the past 26 years. There have been a couple of hits and, as George Carlin says, near hits. Life can be tedious, so I’m looking forward to more bloopers and laughter in the coming years.
Birthday dinner was with Nix, Mog, and Jane at this little Italian place in Salcedo called Amoroma. We didn’t get pissed because we have work tomorrow.
Kris, you were sorely missed.
