Boredom

Hoshi turned 99 last night. Alas, as with Asti, I wasn’t able to get a proper screenie. I’m trying to get over it and not be that disappointed. Nevermind, there’s still Nymie. I’m retiring Asti from siege starting tomorrow.

Uffe will be gone for another 2 weeks, and Miss Pen is absent today, so there’s nothing much to do except try to reach the target 2000 SharePoint sites. We’re at 1148. The only things keeping me awake are coffee, music (Shuffle lurve), and the thought of getting last month’s work allowance. I’ve nearly exhausted my list of site names: months, Santa’s reindeers, 50 states and their capitals, the provinces of the Philippines, pRO guilds. Next up, the names of all my guildmates.

The sky has cleared. I hope the rain doesn’t come back later, when we walk towards home.

I got my Shuffle last Saturday. I wanted something tiny yet functional, something that could be worn with a lanyard. It was a choice between the Shuffle and Creative’s MuVo TX FM. My only complaint with the Shuffle is that it doesn’t have an LCD, so I wouldn’t know what the next song is until I hear it. The MuVo has an LCD, but is powered by an AAA battery, which is such a hassle, imho. I still didn’t have my mind made up when we entered the store, until the staff told me that the Shuffle was on sale. The Shuffle won right then and there. So now I have something to keep me from dozing off at work. 8 hours of MP3 goodness!

The haircut and shopping spree made me late for siege. I parked Astriel in front of the agit the previous day, and when I logged in, I saw the Arma emblem on the flags. I don’t know whether to applaud them or be furious at them for using wizard bots during siege. We tried to get a Brittoniah agit, but the people who were helping us got it instead. So much for the alliance, lol.

After siege, I took a cab to the McDonald’s beside DLSU. Saber picked me up and we walked back to the famed Nitro. Taft is scary man. It has this you’re-going-to-get-mugged-at-every-corner feel. Nitro is cool. There’s a resto on the first floor, and the actual LAN shop is on the second floor. They have 2 comfy-looking couches, and the second floor is spacious. You could actually sleep there.

Let’s see, Tata was there, of course, since it was on his invitation that I came. Yumi, Sheen, Laryll, Ricky, Ian, Saber, Mark, Mami Jen, 2 other guy friends of Tata, and the guys who plays the rogue Robe n’ Hood (sorry, I didn’t catch your name!). I was actually a bit hesitant to go because I thought Jen would be mad at me for letting her assassin die the other night, when we were having a fun hunt at Amatsu. But she was welcoming and warm.

We had dinner at Yellow Cab: 2 of Tata’s 18″. Lol. Thanks again, Tata! Then Mami Jen asked if we wanted to catch a flick at G4. I was game, of course, G4 being so close to home. I’ve been dying to go out since Internship got so toxic. I was kind of hoping to see Fantastic 4, but Yumi and Sheen have seen it, so we ended up seeing Herbie instead. Don’t laugh. It was worth it though, since I got to hang out with my AE guildmates whom I have grown to love. Reason escapes me as of the moment. Lol. Oh yeah, and there was this uber hot scene where Lindsay Lohan, in one of those pleated, micromini skirts, boards a stock car through the window. Drool at the hotness! I didn’t get to buy cotton candy because Tickles was closed by the time I thought of getting some. I got some gummies instead, which Robe promptly demolished, ensuring a sugar high. Oh yeah, Mark claims that the sour, green-apple flavored ones ruined his tummy. Nuninuninu. I plead the Fifth.

It was a great day altogether. I hope we get the agit back on Wednesday.

I’m blogging from work, whoopee! *looks around, makes sure she doesn’t get caught*

I’m back at PCIT, after being sick for 3 days. I got sick Wednesday night, so I skipped work Thursday and Friday, allowing me to have a long weekend. After I got enough sleep, I got bored. I was actually considering going to work last Friday out of sheer boredom. Good thing Mark (Shin/Zengar) was at home and online. Chatnarok! HP 6 saved me from boredom Saturday morning, but after that, I was dying for something else to do. I went with Mark’s Shin to Mino country to buff him while he levels, and I nearly got him killed, lol. I don’t think I’m ever going to get the hang of playing a full support priest. I got Ian’s merchie killed thrice at the Sandman map last night, lol! I have really bad aim, and I’m not used to my hotkeys. I healed the Hodies and the Sandmen instead of healing Ian, and cast Suff instead of Heal (F2 Hotkey). It’s a good thing Ian was able to gain back the lost 3%. I got to help Tata unload his boys using Kumi the other day! Hahaha, he says I can log Kumi on when I feel like it. I’m going to bring him to Prontera and look for chicks. Not chicksilogs though. Lol.

Now that it’s back to the Internship routine, I wish I was home playing RO and hanging with my guildies instead. It’s a bit slack today (and yesterday). The mornings are so slow. I’ve been yawning while watching an endless loop of InfoView shows. It’s in the late afternoons when most of the work is done. Hey, maybe they could change the work schedule so that it starts in the afternoon, like 2pm maybe?

I really need an MP3 player. The music will help keep me awake. I miss Mark when I’m not online.

It’s kind of boring when Nix isn’t here. I wish he’d take the darned medicine and get well so that he can go back to work too.

Warning: Contains spoilers

Did anybody see that coming? No, no, not his death, but Snape as the Half-Blood Prince! I only guessed it when Draco got hexed with the Sectumsempra spell and Snape asked for Harry’s books. But that’s like, mostly obvious at that point.

I would like to believe that Dumbledore isn’t dead, and I’m basing it on this:

He cannot kill you if you are already dead. -Dumbledore to Draco Malfoy, page 591

But then again, maybe he is dead. Killing him off removes the deus ex machina that is Dumbledore, the only wizard Voldemort has ever feared. Not bringing him back to life in book 7 will prevent any references to Gandalf. I rather thought that the Cave chapter with the invisible silvery arc was a lot like the gate of the Mines of Moria.

And for Fawkes’ sake, who the hell is R.A.B.? I’ve been trying to figure this one out the whole morning! A little help here, Potter fans!
