The Alchemist and Leaving
Author: Tala
Confession: I’ve never read The Alchemist. I have a copy of the book, sitting, gathering dust on my bookshelf. Every time I rummage for something to read, it screams “Read me!â€? at me. Why haven’t I read it? Because everyone else was and has. Haha, what a petty excuse to be a non-conformist. Friends keep telling me how inspirational the book is. Well, I need some inspiration. Lead on, Mr. Coelho.
My body clock’s amiss. I keep waking up at 6 in the morning, and I have trouble going back to sleep. I’m not going to miss work, but I’m thankful for the experience. Because of this job, I’m able to appreciate programming. :teehee: Yes, even ASP. :bleh: I guess I knew I wouldn’t stay much longer the moment I sat down in front of my terminal and thought, I’d rather be doing Java than this. Or PHP. Or even C.
I’ll miss the people though. Wave 202 has one of the best mixtures of people I’ve seen. Our personalities and fields are so diverse, so interesting. I think I’m going to miss Red, Gelo, and Felvz the most among the guys. Red most of all. He’s so endearing. I’m going to miss all the girls. Madz and Bianx visited me this morning. Madz, such a character. I love that girl.
I’m excited about the review classes, and the cert exams. :geeky: I’m already trying to device a plan of study for the certs. I’m also looking forward to the possible Java project my grandmother told me about. Java and I have a love-hate relationship, but I’d rather program in Java than do surveys any day.
I have DSL again! OMFG, I’m deliriously happy! Hahaha! Seriously, when I moved down and had to make do with dial up, I felt so weak. Like drained of energy. But now I have DSL again, all systems - including mine - are up and running! ~Weeeee!!! :wee: Ang babaw ng kaligayahan ko! Dependent on 1’s and 0’s, amfness!
