Training 1

Today was the first day of training. I didn’t get much sleep last night since I got home at about 10pm. I had to wake up at 3am to heat water. I can’t wait to move to 202, with the hot shower installed. The first hour of training was kind of slow, with the usual get-to-know each other intros. There were several group activities later on that made time seem to run faster. I still think half an hour is too short for a lunch break. I’m bringing a microwaveable container tomorrow and dumping a McDonald’s Big Breakfast into it. I just hope it doesn’t mysteriously disappear from the communal fridge. I’m bushed. I have to go back to PLDT today to apply (again) for that phone line. Somehow the snafu (sp?) got fixed, though I still have no idea how. Then I’m going to Glorietta to buy some slacks because jeans aren’t allowed for training. Ugh. Not even soft denim I think. I hope Her Bench has some inexpensive, well-cut ones. I’m not in the mood to shop. I just want to sleep.

Tomorrow afternoon I’m going to have my medical exam. I hope it doesn’t take too long so I can move some of my stuff out of 722. Hmm, I’m thinking maybe the bookshelf first, and the school stuff. Plus maybe some clothes that I won’t get to use during training.

My posting habits may become erratic, as I try to adjust to the training schedule. Ugh, I’ll miss bloghopping! :teehee: Oh well, at least the schedule improves after training.

A post about Homer Simpson using tabbed browsing in the latest Simpsons ep started speculations on what browser he was using. :geeky: You geeks! Pixelbox seems very confident that it was Firefox. My take is, it could be any of the browsers that have tabbed browsing using a Simpsons Theme. :teehee:

I don’t think I can avoid this. LOL. Here’s my wishlist for this year’s holiday season (no particular order):

  • A pair of Havaianas. Have you seen the new ones with the funky beads? They’re so pretty!
  • Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. Vacation reading.
  • A Song of Ice and Fire: A Feast for Crows. More vacation reading.
  • A HUGE tub of Gummy Fruits a.k.a Gummy Fruit Salad. One that’ll last for a year! Okay maybe 6 months… or 3 or 4. :giggly:
  • The pretty blue-black-pink Nike sneakers I saw in GB3.
  • That’s it. That’s this year’s shortlist. Ho ho ho! :xmas:

I opened a text editor while I was waiting for {Nix} to finish his make up exam. I started writing about my first experience with WiFi. Suddenly I’ve filled 2 pages with randoms. I find it easier to write this way, knowing that spell check is on, and that there’s no pressure to publish. Except for the occasional use of Press This, I think I’ll stop writing directly through the WP editor. Sometimes, even when I have a set topic in mind, I end up with a blank page. My mind goes blank. I run out of thoughts, of coherent sentences, because as I write, I’m thinking, Was that sentence in correct grammar? Did that sentence make sense? Does my vocabulary seem limited? So instead of interesting, coherent, well-formed entries, I end up with nothing. With a text editor, I ended up with 5 entries. :coffee:
