Things to Smile About
Author: Tala
Well, the ACM-ICPC is over, and the University of Tokyo won. It was such a close fight. I wish Ateneo had won, Philippine pride and all. Both schools were able to solve 7 out of 8 problems, but Tokyo was ahead by 31 minutes. Dang. Oh well, there’s always next year. Manila is still the host for Southeast Asia, and the Ateneo de Manila will be the host school.

I saw Episode 202 of The O.C. today. One of the things to smile about. Thank you technology and the torrent nerds over at suprnova.org! I get my OC every Friday. Nix had this idea of waiting till season 2 ends before we watch the episodes, so that we don’t have to wait for a week before we get to watch the next ones. Err… NO! :bleh: Haha, we’re getting OC withdrawal syndrome. :coffee:

I found a Filipino Wheel of Time community. At last! People from the Philippines who don’t really care if Robert Jordan is wordy, or why it’s been 10 books, and still, the ending is far from the horizon. LOL. If you’re a WoT fan, head on over to the Yahoogroups and join us. We might be migrating to a message board format soon, thank the Light. After experiencing InvisionFree, I find Yahoogroups too disorganized and tedious to read. I think we’re thinking of joining New Worlds. That would be so cool! Hmm, if that pushes through, I think I’ll become more active, both with TPTS and WoTPhils.
