Hello : Introducing BloggerBot
What will Blogger think of next? I just love this service. Hmm, maybe after Gmail becomes public, an IM could be next. Something like Trillian but with a better interface. I love the way Blogger and Google are making my life easier.
Things To Do For This Site
Author: Tala =)
- Revamp the bio section. It sucks. Yes, it really does.
- Upload all those Fanlisting images to Photobucket and update the links.
- Update the reads section. Lots of interesting weblogs out there, gathering dust in my Favorites folder.
- Scrap the tables and use CSS for the format of the whole darn site! =)
Will add to this when I think of more tasks. =)
LiveJournal Sucks
Author: Tala =)
I learned from Mog that LiveJournal doesn’t require that code thingie you can get from other LJ users in order to register anymore. You can now sign up for free, just like Blogger. Here’s the catch. You can’t customize the layout og your blog. You have to use the templates provided. Ugh. No thanks, LJ. I think I’ll stick with Blogger, thank you very much.
On Winamp: I miss my Winamp!
Last Saturday, while lola and I were having lunch at Cibo, she told me, “Neng, sa unang suweldo mo, ibili mo ako ng Rolex ha.” (Buy me a Rolex using your first paycheck) I just smiled and shrugged noncommittally. Like hell I was gonna buy her a Rolex. She played it down by saying “Napaka-banidosa ko naman.” (I’m so vain)
She brought it up again this morning. She asked me why I didn’t agree to her request, why I just smiled. I said, well, I’m going to buy a laptop with my first paycheck. She said something that clearly implied that I was thinking only of myself. I said, calmly, that I would need the laptop for my work so it’s a priority. Maybe the way I said it implied that after I buy the laptop I’ll get her a Rolex. She didn’t say anything after that. Buy her a Rolex? Not in this lifetime. And what’s with this obsession with a Rolex watch anyway? Ah, just to say that she has one I guess. So, whatever happened to that old line of hers: We’re not expecting anything financial from you… yadda yadda… Yeah right. Please. The only reason she calmed down about this whole Comp-Sci-instead-of-Medicine deal is cause some person or the other told her that I’d be making a lot of money after I graduate. That I’d be earning dollars and pounds abroad. I don’t want to think about that. It may happen, it may not. I might still end up here, in a call center, earning peanuts, living with my mom at Bliss. =) But if ever that abroad thing pushes through, I’m definitely not buying my grandmother a Rolex. Swatch na lang. =)
