New Books!
Got an email from Fully Booked that some of my Madeleine Wickham books have arrived! Yay! If you don’t already know, Madeleine Wickham is the real name of Sophie Kinsella, author of the Shopaholic books, among others.
For this batch, I’m getting
- Sleeping Arrangements
- Swimming Pool Sunday
- Desirable Residence
- The Tennis Party
- Cocktails for Three
I need two more to complete her books:
- The Gatecrasher
- The Wedding Girl
On another note of awesomeness, Scott Lynch has decided to give the public the Prologue to The Republic of Thieves. This is the 3rd book in the Gentleman Bastard sequence. This is the one with Sabetha! I hope the whole book comes out next year. I’ve never been this excited for a series since GRRM. I’m not even sure if I want to read it. What if it’s a disappointment? Second to A Dance With Dragons, it’s my most anticipated book for 2010 (assuming aDwD gets published by that time, of course). On the other hand, what if it’s _that_ good? How will I endure the wait for the book? Argh!

I’m going back to the old Wordpress blog for the time being. Most of the entries will be cross-posted anyway, using that nifty WP plugin. Reasons for moving back? I found a really cute WP theme that I’m too lazy to convert into an LJ theme. And upgrading WP versions is now easy using the auto-upgrade.
